In November 2016, Sekhmet She Owl interviewed the editors of the book Dispatches from Lesbian America, an anthology of lesbian literature with forty contributors from a diverse range of backgrounds.

Giovanna Capone, Xequina Berber, and Rome Smith are all long-time lesbian feminists and writers, dedicated to the lesbian community. The interview covers their editing process, their reflections on the present state of lesbian literature and publishing, their personal histories, and the content of the book. Dispatches from Lesbian America, published by Bedazzled Ink, will be available on Amazon in both print and digital format. Ask your local library to request a copy and help lesbians and other women in your community discover this important collection of writers.
